Guy Geldhof has a Master’s degree in commercial engineering from the Free University of Brussels.
He is a recognized business consultant and finance specialist. Guy started his career in 1991 with Arthur Andersen as member of the business advisory and audit team. He audited a large number of medium-sized and large companies. In 1995, he joined Andersen’s business consulting team in Houston and, later, in Brussels. As a consultant, he was a generalist who grew into the function of director of the Strategy, Finance and Economics Service Team. Throughout his career Guy has been very active in the healthcare industry where he gained broad experience.
In 2000, he was a co-founder of Value4Growth, a specialized consulting and management firm to support technology and life science companies. He has been a venture coach for many young companies and has supported these in all aspects of company formation, product strategy and fund raising. He has acted as CFO, external as well as internal, for young and fast-growing companies backed by VC funds.
Since 2007, Guy also holds the position of Secretary General of the BVA, the Belgian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
Guy joined Vesalius Biocapital as CFO in 2009. In January 2011, once the second Vesalius Biocapital fund has been created, he became Partner.
During his career Guy has worked in the US and in several Western European countries.
